Gustav Stickley House Restoration Phase I Complete: A Very Happy Day!

Posted on June 29, 2018 by

A great event yesterday (June 28, 2018) celebrating the completion of the first phase of the Stickley House restoration and after more than 20 years, lots of smiles. Many members of the Arts & Crafts Society of Central New played a role in this and were in attendance, along with elected officials, organization heads, and community members who all played an important part in getting this far. Special thanks to the University Neighborhood Preservation Association (Dave Michel, Rebecca Mannion, Chris Peters, and the entire UNPA board), the Onondaga Historical Association and the Audi family and Stickley Company. We especially want to shout out the hard work over many years of former ACSCNY president David Rudd and current vice-president Beth Crawford. The exterior is done and the original 1902 Stickley interiors – fortunately – are in much better shape. More photos, films and comments will be posted here soon and on the Gustav Stickley House Foundation page. It is OK now to start contributing to Phase II!
