Sherburne Arts & Crafts Family Festival, June 9, 2012

Posted on April 22, 2012 by

On Saturday, June 9, 2012, the Sherburne Public Library will host The Sherburne Arts & Crafts Family Festival in Gaines Park, Sherburne, New York from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival will highlight area artists exhibiting and selling their work, and will include exhibitions of work of Sherburne-Earlville Central School students. The show, which is a reinvention of the art show once held in Sherburne, will include student exhibitions, a chidren’s interactive tent, a ticket auction, a silent auction, food vendors, music.

While the event is a fundraiser for the library, the long view is to reestablish the annual art show once enjoyed by this village. The show will be dedicated to artist Mariea L. Brown, a resident of Sherburne until her death. The original art show in Sherburne was Mrs. Brown’s inspiration.

The library’s goal is to present the work of central New York artists as well as create a family-oriented community event. If you are an artist or crafter and would like to join us for what promises to be a wonderful day of art and music, please email to request information and an application for participation.

If you are a business or individual who would like to become a patron of this community event, contact Kathleen M. Yasas, Chair, Sherburne Arts & Crafts Family Festival at 607-674-2279. All sponsorship patrons will be listed on  our website.

Please share this link with your fellow artists, crafters, and art lovers, come on down to Gaines Park on June 9…and bring a friend!
